AMD Ryzen 5 & Ryzen 3 Processors

AMD has launched its two new Processor varients named RYZEN 5 & RYZEN 3. The company claims high-performance graphics in Ryzen 3 & 5 as compared to Intel processor. AMD Ryzen 5 & Ryzen 3 are its first desktop processors with integrated graphics. Ryzen 3 & 5 are featured with Integrated Radeon Vega graphics processor. AMD target’s to capture entry-level users who are in main focus by these two products with the promises to deliver HD gaming experience with the use of low level or medium level settings.

As we know AMD graphics are better performers than Intel in gaming.

AMD RYZEN 3

AMD Ryzen 3 1300X Processor is a 64-bit quad-core entry-level performance x86 desktop microprocessor. This processor is based on AMD’s Zen microarchitecture and is fabricated on a 14 nm process. The 1300X operates at a base frequency of 3.4 GHz with a TDP of 65 W and a Boost frequency of up to 3.7 GHz and an XFR of 3.9 GHz. This MPU supports up to 64 GiB of dual-channel DDR4-2666 ECC memory.

Ryzen 3 has an unlocked multiplier, therefore, it can be overclocked using traditional methods. It has 8MB of L3 Cache. Level 3 cache is a static memory bank of a processor and it is used to feed it instructions. This processor also supports DDR4 based RAMs with maximum memory support of 64GB. It has a maximum Thermal Power Design of 65W. It is on par with competitor processors. Among its many features, Simultaneous Multithreading, Cool n Quiet, CoolCore Technology, Extended Frequency Range (XFX), Pure Power and Precision Boost are enabled.

Ryzen 5

AMD Ryzen 5 1600X  Processor is the highest performing 6 core processor you can get with 12 threads for advanced gaming and multi-processing ability. True machine intelligence to analyze and adapt to your needs. Requires a CPU Cooler and discrete graphics card, not included. The CPUs had the same 3.6GHz base clock and 4.0GHz Turbo of the 1600X but had 8 cores and 16 threads instead of 6 and 12 respectively. Making them effectively price-cut 1800X CPUs.

Performance 89%, Quality 90%, Features 94%, Value 95% Overall TweakTown Rating92%. The Bottom Line: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X’s extreme affordability makes it an excellent choice for a mainstream rig requiring more cores. Since some of the more important IO is in the CPU, such as the M.2 slot’s PCI-E lanes and four USB 3.0 ports, you don’t lose too much by buying a B350 chipset motherboard over a more expensive X370 motherboard.
Like the Ryzen 1800X, AMD claims that the Ryzen 5 CPUs offer competitive performance in the price bracket. The flagship of AMD Ryzen 5 1600X has scored up to 69% higher in Cinebench multi-threaded test compared to the Intel Core i5 7600K which is a huge leap. However, the Ryzen 7 was found to be a little behind Intel’s flagship in single threaded applications and we expect the same here as well. Like the Ryzen 1800X, AMD claims that the Ryzen 5 CPUs offer competitive performance in the price bracket.
